Frequently Asked Questions

What Is myMED-EL?

myMED-EL brings together all the digital and personalized services offered by MED-EL, including apps, online shops, training portals and more. It builds on our portfolio of hearing solutions and services, opening up a whole new digital world.

What Is a myMED-EL ID?

With a myMED-EL ID, you only need one account to access a variety of MED-EL services, including the myMED-EL Portal, myMED-EL Webshop, myMED-EL Download Center, AudioKey app, Audio2Ear app, and more. It includes the information you use to sign into MED-EL services, as well as contact and security details.

When Can I Use a myMED-EL ID?

You’ll be asked to sign in with your myMED-EL ID and password when you set up a new device, make a purchase, use one of our rehabilitation apps, or other digital MED-EL services. Once signed in, you’ll have access to the service and be able to view all the personal information in your account.

How Many myMED-EL IDs Do I Need?

You just need one MED-EL ID. By using the same myMED-EL ID everywhere you sign in, all your MED-EL services will work together seamlessly, and you will be able to access your personal content from all devices.

Can I Share a myMED-EL ID with Someone Else?

Your myMED-EL ID is unique to you and should not be shared with anyone else. It provides access to personal information including contacts, device backups, logging data and more. Sharing your myMED-EL ID with another person gives them access to all your personal content and may also lead to confusion over who actually owns the account.

How Can I Keep my myMED-EL ID Secure?

Your security and privacy are very important to us at MED-EL. That’s why we provide a number of ways for you to keep your myMED-EL ID secure and protect your privacy, including strong passwords, two-factor authentication, and more. Learn more about security and your myMED-EL ID here ->

What Is the Difference Between a Recipient, Caregiver or Professional?

To personalize your myMED-EL experience and offer you the content and services most relevant to you, we offer three different roles: Recipient, Caregiver or Professional.

The Recipient role is right for you if you use a MED-EL hearing solution (for example, if you have a cochlear implant). Register as a recipient ->

The Caregiver role is for parents, partners, or guardians of people who use a MED-EL hearing solution. Register as a caregiver ->

The Professional role is for hearing professionals, sales or service partners and MED-EL distributors. Register as a professional Register as a professional ->

Why Is My Account Being Verified?

Before accessing certain services, your myMED-EL ID needs to be verified by someone at MED-EL. We take this extra step to make sure that you access the right content and services.

I Already Have a myMED-EL ID. Why Can’t I Access the myMED-EL Portal?

This is most likely because you have signed up for a service like the AudioKey 2 app or the MED-EL Academy but haven’t yet completed your profile. Just enter your login credentials to the form on the myMED-EL portal. You will then be asked to complete your profile. Log in to the myMED-EL Portal and complete profile ->
